“Okay ladies.” A heavy set white man yelled out as the former welfare moms stepped off the bus. Using the term ladies to address these women always amused him, but it was in the script so he had no choice.

“Stop by the bulletin board in the lobby and find your name. Once you find your name you’ll also find not only your housing assignment but your work schedule will be listed as well.” The man continued.

“Room 112.” Takiyah read aloud. The girl then gasped when she got a look at her work schedule. “Sir. Excuse me, Sir. There must be some mistake.” The young girl said.

“Well, hopefully I can fix it for you.” The shelter worker said batting his eyes at her seductively. A lot of the mothers on welfare fucked for extra help, but none of the ones he had ever bedded looked anything like this one did.

“The schedule says that I’m due at work at 12 am…. Today… in the morning!” she exclaimed.

“I can get your shift changed, if you’ll willing to pay for it.” He said as he let his eyes roamed over Takiyah’s young body to explain what he was hinting at being his payment.

“See you at midnight.” She spat with disgust before turning on her heels and walking away.

It took some doing but she was able to drag her, her child, and all their belongings from the bus to their room. Takiyah inserted the key, twisted the knob, pushed the door open, and gasped when she caught sight of her roommate.
